Janome 6700P Sewing Machine
The 6700P, a familiar feeling machine that follows in the tradition of its predecessors (the 6600P released in 2006 and the 6500P released in 2003), but brings with it new innovation and power.
Retaining the sturdy powder-coated aluminium case that the 6P series is famous for, the 6700P is bigger with an enormous 10 inches of space to the right of the needle, and the continuing the absence of a free arm means that a quilter can move their work smoothly over the machine bed without the annoying drag of joint seams. Also faster than the 6600P, the 6700P will smoothly sew at an impressive 1200 stitches per minute, and Janome is proud to boast that this makes it the fastest domestic machine available. And don't think that sewing that fast means chasing your machine across the table - the 6700P has be developed with steadfastness in mind, the solid chassis and broad base gives so much support that the machine just hums along.
Other new additions to the 6700P include LED lights making the work area 40% more bright, a higher resolution LCD screen for a clearer interaction with your stitch functions, and a superior one-step needle threader. But the most stand-out upgrade that the 6700P brings the market will see it embraced as almost an industrial-grade machine. The HP needle plate and foot system converts the 6700P to stitch with the narrower 3-feed-dog-system embraced by industrial machines. This will give better visibility than a straight-stitch foot, and smoother turns and curves at high speeds, and in the process of adding this extra versatility, the actual changing the needle place no longer involves screws and is instead a simple click of a lever.
